Happy 4-Year Anniversary!!!

It's fun to look back when we were getting married. That was such a fun time, but I have to admit, it has gotten soooo much better!

We're expecting a baby...

GIRL!

Oh my goodness, I am so excited!!! I still cannot believe we are having a a baby girl! I've been swearing for the last couple months that we would have a boy, and boy was I wrong! I always really hoped to have a girl first so I am thrilled. As soon as Truman found out we were having a baby girl he said, "Daddy's little girl!"

Truman & I after the ultrasound appointment on our way to lunch

Truman's Mom sent us these cute little See's chocolate celebration cigars, ha! It has a sticker on it, "It's a Girl!" Thank you Becky!

I am looking so forward to this little girl! I bought a little outfit for her the day of the appointment and then the next day I couldn't help myself and got two more outfits! Next comes crafting her some hair accessories...

Chocolate Egg Nests

I have a new love and obsession. One word...

Pinterest.

Thank you Pinterest for all your amazing crafts, recipes, home decor ideas, and your unbeatable organizational capabilities. These Easter goodies are one of the many crafty ideas inspired by Pinterest. I made these cute little chocolate egg nests for all the people I work with and the girls I visit teach. They are so simple but sweet. The pretzel rods are covered in a peanut butter chocolate sauce and then shaped in a muffin pan. The nest eggs are just the solid milk chocolate Cadbury eggs. I thought this would be a fun way to package them and preserve freshness. I bought the little chick stamp, stamp pad, and pink ribbon out of the dollar bin at Michael's and used yellow cardstock for the tags. It was a fun inexpensive goody and craft, everyone at work loved it.

Happy Easter!

I am officially 4.5 months pregnant and it's starting to sink in that there will be many "last" times. Last birthday before a baby, last Valentine's Day without a baby, last anniversary before the baby, etc. This will be our "last" Easter family picture with just us. We are both ready and wanting this to be a picture of three. We are loving this blossoming Spring weather. The longer sunnier days, the vibrant colors, the warmth, the smells, and the promise that tax season is almost over. Truman has been working so long and hard and is very missed. He still manages to fulfill his calling, workout, play church basketball, and has been riding his bicycle to work at least three days a week. Sundays are more sweet lately because it's the one day in the week he doesn't have to go to work. This Thursday afternoon we will get to see each other briefly when we meet up at my ultrasound appointment to find out the gender of the baby.

We are grateful for our loving Heavenly Father & His eternal plan. We are indebted on this Easter Sunday as we remember what His son has done for us. Happy Easter.

Truman thought it would be a funny comparison to add this picture onto the post. This was from Easter Sunday, April 2009, when we had been married for 1 year. This photograph was taken in our first place while we were still in college in Utah. Yes, this is the exact same shirt and tie. Those were the ties from our wedding and a shirt I got for our honeymoon. Truman has braces, I have darker hair, and well, I wasn't pregnant. As you can tell, we've also updated our camera. haha. Fun comparison.

Today, I am almost 4.5 months along! We get to find out the gender of the baby end of next week! We are so excited! This will make it seem all the more real. I am still feeling good and getting more energy. Boy or Girl??? Vote!
