Motorcyles...

Very 'James Dean' Truman

When we were home for Thanksgiving break, Truman's got to hang out with his best friend Cody. When Truman & I still lived in California, he got his motorcyle license but never got the chance to use it. Cody and his brother have some motorcycles, and Truman was way too excited to get the opportunity to go for a ride. They dropped by my parents house, and I made them let me take pictures with some cool guys poses. haha.

new moon - take 2

When Truman & I were back home in California for Thanksgiving break, Shelly & I decided it was only right and just that we see New Moon again-- but this time together. We got to the theaters 20 minutes early and had perfect seats --don't think I'll be doing a midnight showing again. I could actually feel my fingers and toes, it was awesome. haha.

Shelly was the original one who introduced me to the Twilight Saga and now we love it together! I had a lot of fun with you Shelly! ;)

Happy Happy Birthday Aurora Dear...

Little Miss Aurora turned two this year. She was very excited about all aspects of her Birthday, especially the presents. She kept walking around saying "Presents?"

The decorations at her party were based around "2" and Dora the Explorer.

She was very good at telling everyone 'thank you' after she opened each present, it was so cute.

Rachel made Aurora Strawberry Preston a strawberry cake with chocolate frosting. Rachel helped her blow out her candle.

2 years!

new moon

I've been looking forward to this day since before I can remember!

Yes...I was one of those crazed fans this year that saw the midnight premiere of New Moon. Some sisters that I worked with at Carol's Copy Center when I was in hygiene school invited me to go to the midnight showing with them. How could I turn that down? ...especially because I knew there was no way in heck I could get Truman to go to the midnight showing with me. haha.

We had bought tickets for the 12:07am showing a few months before, and figured getting there 2 hours early would be sufficient...we were wrong. This is about a third of the line on the right side of the theater because it started inside, wrapped around the entire building on both sides.
It was insane to say the least.

Not only that, but it was literally freezing outside. We waited outside in line for an hour and 40 minutes. I had gloves, a coat, and ear muffs, & I still couldn't feel my fingers or toes. The joy of getting to see New Moon kept me warm though haha ;).

Me & my golden ticket

After waiting 2 hours in line, the best seats we could get were the second row. haha. This was my view but it was still fun. The theater was wild, screaming girls and even guys...everywhere.
