Our Halloween was brought to you this year by Disney's The Little Mermaid! :)
Since I worked so hard on my Ursula costume, I naturally wanted to be her again! Halloween is the perfect time because then I could make coordinating family costumes!
I looked at a couple tutorials for Ariel costumes and with my Mom's and mine's brains combined --we came up with this, I love it! So did Elle! The leg part of the fabric was very glittery/sequined so it looked like scales. We had different shades and types of tulle for the fins which created such a fun look. The body is a ballet pink leotard. I cut out some shells of purple sequin fabric and then sewed the lines are for the shells then just hot glued it with a couple dabs to the leotard. My Mom helped me make this cute purple starfish for her red wig I found on Amazon. I'm in love with my own little mermaid! :)
I made this cute Prince's costume a few years ago for a Cinderella/Prince Charming combo! The only difference we did was have him wear some black boots and tuck his pants into them. Thanks for being a good sport Truman!
