24 Hour Fitness

I had been feeling pretty "Blah" lately. End of September, Truman & I started running together consistenly. We would usually run about 2 miles, 4 days a week, and then would go running on trails in the mountains on Saturdays. Then...snow happened. We also went to California for Thanksgiving and Christmas break...and we got out of the groove. Then I was anxious/scared of working out again because I knew it would hurt because it had been a while, haha. Then I was dreading running out in the snow, I hate the cold!

Truman then mentioned getting a gym membership & this definitely appealed to me. 24 Hour Fitness is month-to-month and was having a great deal. So right before the first of the year we purchased memeberships to the 24 Hour Fitness-Sport in Provo. We have absolutely been loving it! We have been consistenly going for the last month, 5 days a week, for an hour. Truman is doing a lot of triathalon training, switching off between swimming, spinning, running, lifting weights, basketball, & one of Truman's favorites-- the sauna, haha.

I absolutely love 24's classes. They have a wide variety of 1 hour classes, and they're offered everyday except Sundays, & there's plently of times. My favorites and the ones that I've been attending are Turbo Jam/Kick, Pilates, & Zumba. I have been so sore (the good kind), feeling so great, & try to never miss my classes!

Turbo Jam is inspired by dance and martial arts moves, targeting specific muscle groups or body parts to strengthen and sculpt your physique and promote overall balance and core strength.

Pilates is an innovative system of mind-body exercise. It builds strength without excess bulk, creating a sleek, toned body. It teaches body awareness, good posture and easy, graceful movement. Pilates improves flexibility, agility and economy of motion.

Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music with easy-to-follow moves and dance that creates a dynamic, exciting, and effective fitness system.

Shadow Box Collage

My Christmas present from Truman this year was a super cute shadow box with a canvas background. I loved it & wanted to do something really cute with it. I seached deep within me & found some crafty skills. I went to Michael's and picked out some cute scrapbooking papers. I was especially excited when I found the argyle paper, argyle patterns are my favorite! I printed some fun pictures from our wedding, honeymoon, and homecoming at BYU. I backed the photos with the different colors & patterns. One of the scrapbooking papers had the cute flowers you see in the lower left. I bought over-sized pushpins and put them in the center of all the flowers. The shadow box is hung in the entry right by our front door, & if we ever need to leave each other a note, we leave it pinned in this little left bottom corner.
I love how it turned out!
