One Month Anniversary!

I woke up to Truman leaving the room, I could tell it was early, but was so out of it I just figured he probably just had to use the bathroom. Then he comes in the room and an alarm clock was ringing and he came in the room, and I woke up as he was turning it off, and started to leave. I knew he had a softball game that morning so I didn't think much of it. He was walking out of the room and I said, "Can I have a hug?". He smiles and comes over and gives me a hug. I remember smelling kind of a pancake smell on him, but he was wearing a sweatshirt and I thought that it was probably an old scent.

About 15 minuntes later he comes in again laughing and says, "Oh my gosh Amy, come look at this out the window, it's so funny!" It was still super early and I was so tired and thinking, what could be so funny?? haha. He just keeps saying, "You have to see it." As I walk into the kitchen he just gets this really big grin on his face, and says "Turn Around." I turn around to the suprise on the table! It was so cute, he was making me eggs, had me banana waffles, hot chocolate, and had bought me an arrangment of yellow daisies!!!

What an adorable way to say Happy 1 Month :). I told him over and over how cute it was and hugged him a bunch, and then we ate the feast!

He went on to tell me how he had to get up really early to do it so that I wouldn't have a chance of waking up because I'd be so tired. He said it was really hard trying to cook it all and be really quiet, and he kept on hoping that I wouldn't wake up. The alarm in the room had accidentally gotten set and he tried to come in the room really fast to turn it off. It all worked out ;).

It was a perfectly adorable suprise!

Oh! and Truman & mine's song was the "Hey There Delilah" song by the Plain White T's, and last summer I left a burned copy of that song on his car that said: To - Sampson, Love - Delialah and it has kinda stuck ;)

JUST MARRIED

On the road again...

Well, it was an amazing wedding & reception, an awesome and fun honeymoon, and now we're so excited to move into OUR place back in Utah! When Truman & I went out to the car after the reception it had the classic "JUST MARRIED", & then we soon knew which Westons had painted it because they had drawn flames on the side of the car and phrases like "DBG" haha. This picture also cracks me up because the sun was just right, and it looks like Truman has a flashlight coming out of his fingertip, haha.

Truman & I packed up that morning, had breakfast at the Weston house, & then they helped us pack everything up! It was so nice to have the help!!! Then we stopped by my parent's house to pick up some last things, and bum some food off my parents for the road.

This is right before we left to drive to Utah. It was a late start, but just fun to be together & be on our way to starting our new life together :).

Santa Cruz Beach & Boardwalk

The water was so cold, but Truman can't pass up the chance to run into the ocean.

He ran in very quickly, and as you can see, he got out just as fast haha.

This is when Truman got in a fight with the sand.... Actually he let me burry him, and this is right after he broke free haha.

Truman & I had a fun day the beach!!! He found a frisbee and wanted me to play it with him. I told him that, he should be well aware of the fact that I can't catch haha. But we played anyway, and it was actually really fun. I can catch afterall! haha.

Gourment Pizza & The Mystery Spot

but this house is built crazy so it looks like he is really amazing at leaning haha.

Once again, Truman is pulling himself straight up but because

the house is crooked makes it look all cool!

And no, I'm just not amazing at balancing, I'm just standing up straight haha.

The Mystery Spot is a place in the wood in Santa Cruz, CA. Back in the early 1900s, a family bought this land and was having a house built on it. The builders went to make the foundation, and they would use thier level, but it looked crooked to the naked eye. They even re-did the foundation, but that same results. Just like in these pictures, this board looks like one side is higher than the other, and it would seem to be that way because shown by the pictures --I'm taller in the 1st picture & Truman is taller in the 2nd picture. However, if you stick ANY level on it, it will show it as completely level. The owners of the property kept getting upset at the builders because they were supposedly making the foundation uneven, but then the builders showed them with a level that it was level. They even bought a different level, but only to find the same results. This mysterious event only happens on certain places in the mystery spot. The owner's children found another one of these spots one day-- they had fun playing because one child could stand on one side and be taller, and they could switch spots and the other would be taller (or taller than before). The spot they found is only about 4 feet apart and it does this. The parents got upset at their 2 kids and told them not to play there anymore and eventually got so spooked by the place, they sold the property and moved.

Another crazy thing about it is that it only happens one-directionally. For example, Truman & I stood on the spot across from each other in the North to South direction. I was significantly less shorter than him than I usually am, and then a level is placed down showing it as completely level. But then if we stood across from each other in the East to West direction, we would be our normal heights compared to each other. Whole physics classes, scientists, carpenters, you name it have been up there to try to figure out this phenomenon to no avail. There are different theories, & it all seems weird, but just one of those things you have to see it to believe it!

The tour guide did this multiple times for us, & we still couldn't believe it. One of the times he just placed the ball in the middle of the board and it just rolled up like that! Crazy! Then another one of the times which is what this video is of, is he even pushed it a little down the board, and it rolled all the way up the board.
