Halloween Costume

Halloween Costume
Every witch has to have a cat & broom, Bleu was not amused...

I dressed up as a witch this year for Halloween, it was fun to dress up and compile the pieces for the costume. I already had the pea coat, the dress, belt, high heels, & ribbon for the hat. Just had to buy the hat and stockings. These tights even had awesome skulls and crossbones on the back, too bad you can't see it in the pic!
HALLOWEEN MORNING
Two new friends I have in my ward, Camille Smedley & Addie Condie, decided that we needed to all do something together --and what better than having breakfast at Kneaders and watching a movie together on Halloween morning?! To make it even better, we decided to dress up in costumes and rode down there together. Addie and I were witches and Camille was a snowboarder. Camille had never been, so I naturally forced her to get the french toast. It was yummy and so much fun!

Don't mind the Charlie's Angels pose...

In our minds, there was nothing more appropriate than watching Hocus Pocus on Halloween. So after Kneaders, we headed over to Camille's for the movie. All of our husbands hate the movie for some reason & we all happen to love it! We had fun quoting all the parts, singing along to the song, and just loving a good classic Halloween movie! It's just a bunch of Hocus Pocus...

Happy Halloween

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Truman & I had a very fun Halloween this year! We had many festivities planned & even an unexpected suprise like... Trick-or-Treaters, haha. In apartment complexes it's hit or miss -- there's a lot of people living close together so it's faster, but in Provo they're usually poor college students and probably didn't buy any candy. Luckily we still had some Halloween candy my Mom had sent, so they didn't leave empty handed.

The Halloween date started with...
Us at Chili's with their 2 for $20 special --so good! I went as a witch and Truman went as my husband ;).

Then the pumpkin carving with stencils fun

Truman's 'Ghost Busters' pumpkin

My 'kitty in a window' pumpkin

Lit up together, so cute!

Showing off our pumpkins & my cute argyle slippers from my Mom

Very impressive Truman...

Just a little porch decor

To finish off the night we watched a scary movie in honor of Halloween. We watched 'The Skeleton Key' which was a good movie but not too scary. It was such a fun date, I had been looking forward to it for weeks and it didn't let me down.

This will be Truman and mine's last year here in Provo and we figured it was about time we go to Homecoming. We haven't gone the last two years for one reason or another, & this year Truman asked me and bought tickets! I remember growing up and seeing a formal Homecoming picture of my parents at BYU when they attended, and I always wanted one to show our kids one day. Thanks to our neighbors Rob & Megan for taking some pics of us!
Romantic dinner at Cafe Rio, Mmmm...my favorite!

We went to the semi-formal Homecoming at Thanksgiving Point at the barn. They didn't have formal pictures but they did have a free photo booth and items you could dress up with. It was the first chance we've had to dance together since our wedding. It was fun to get all dressed up, dance, and have a different kind of night out on the town.

Thank you Truman! I had so much fun with you!

Frankenstein Craft

My Mom sent me the most awesome coolest Halloween package. In it there were Halloween candles, tons of Halloweenish and Fall decorations, skull crossbone/argyle slippers, argyle Halloween socks, treats & munchies, and a Halloween craft project for me and a friend to do. I invited my good friend Jill over to do it with me, we have been friends since high school in California.

My Mom had everything included in the package: paints, brushes, glue, knobs, flower pots and bases. We had lots of fun working on it, and got to catch up while working on them.

This is the Frankenstein I made, I love how it turned out.

Thanks for the project Mom!

Ryan Shupe & The Rubber Band Concert

One of the accounting firms Truman is applying to, Ernst & Young, held a concert for the applicants who made it to 2nd interview fly-out process. Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band was the band playing, and they were a very interactive and fun band.

Ernst & Young had the placed decked out and even gave out clappers to everyone which of course makes everything more fun.

I feel something on my leg during the performance... I know, scary... Truman's new prosthetic hand. Sick.

Fall General Conference
Truman's parents and Jake and Hayley decided to come out for General Conference this year. They made the long drive and arrived in Salt Lake on Friday. They stayed up there and Jake & Hayley got to explore Salt Lake City for the first time, and Becky & Spencer held a mission reunion.

We met them up in Salt Lake on Saturday for the afternoon session of General Conference. It was Jake's first time going and only my second time going, so it was great to get some tickets and get to see it live. We had fantastic seats too, I couldn't believe how close to the front we were. You could actually see their lips moving, haha.

Afterwards, Becky took us to Pier 49 pizza to hold us off until after the boys finished seeing the Priestood session. Becky, Hayley, & I got some hot chocolate and had lots of fun girl talk. It was great that Spencer, Truman, & Jake we able to get Priestood session tickets and go together. Afterwards, we all met up and had dinner at the Marriott. I tried fish & chips for the first time, one of Becky's favorites, and it was good!

On Sunday, we visited with Grandma Ruth, Aunt Leslie, and Emeigh for the second session. Then afterwards, Truman took everyone on the tour of Provo, BYU, and his work AMP. Then we had dinner and dessert at our place and Jake & Hayley got to meet Bleu. It was fun having them out here in Utah and it was a great General Conference.
