Elle & Trooper got to go to Broderick Madsen’s 6th Birthday today also, it was ninja turtle birthday party, they had a blast! 🐢

Elle & I built a leprechaun trap & we also had some help with the finishing touches from Grams and Gramps- 

Pot of gold to leur the leprechaun in & a rainbow 🌈  ladder to climb 

The leprechaun fell down the slide and then had to leave all his treasure behind for 

 Elle and Trooper. Elle decided to leave the trap out in the living room so it would be nice and central. It worked! They captured treasures of Shopkins and Minions coloring book, slingshots, bouncy balls, green jellybeans and starbursts, & crafts. 

We went to In-N-Out for dinner & we saw another rainbow 🌈 

Trooper Noble Weston (2.5 years old)

Dear Troopy,

You are such a sunshine in my life. You bring warmth to any room and fill my heart with deep love. You truly lift my spirits because you are beaming with light.  Trooper, you bring me so much purpose. You’ve taught me patientce and understanding. It is so hard to be mad at you & you are so eager to be in our good graces. I always wish I could squeeze you a little tighter and I love to steal a snuggle and hug from my best boy. Your Mader smile melts me and your infectious laugh spreads joy. 

I adore your sweet face, kissable cheeks, and your big round head. Sometimes I wonder how I got such a handsome adorable wonderful little boy. You always look up to your big sissy Elle and want to do everything she does. You recently have been imitating daddy and me and putting Elle in timeouts... “go timeout Elle!” “5 minutes” “set a timer” “sit on potty” “big trouble!” “whad I say?!”. It’s actually very hilarious and we have to look away and laugh when you do it 🤦‍♀️😆. You make all of us chuckle and I absolutely love it when you say. “Ay!!! Ge’ back here!” 

When I look at you, sometimes it feels time is slowing down and I just take you in in that moment. I feel so much happiness in these moments to be your Mama and caretaker. I am so blessed to spend my days with you. Then at times feelings of sadness creep in... because these times truly are just moments... that I get to be with you every day, all day.  How could I not adore all the things you do and say? ...I love the feeling of your soft warm cheeks on my face while picking you up after nap, you wanting to “lay on lap” with Nani and just be with me. The fact that it’s just enough to be with me, that you want me, you just need my lap to lay on knowing that I love you and I’m there and I have time for you. I will always have time for you. Raising you makes it so I see your toddle of a run, you constantly putting on your boots, you shooting everything and everyone in sight with you toy gun, & who can forget your love for motorcycles, robots, drones, & most of all Daddy!

One of my absolute favorite things to watch is your sheer excitement when you hear daddy come home. Then I see you run as fast as you can to embrace your Dada & it fills my heart with so much love that I feel it could burst. These moments of time and this beautiful stage feels like sand slipping between my fingers. I don’t know how to make it stop but know if I could freeze time I would one hundred times over. 

You, Trooper, are my precious baby boy and there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you. You just make life better. Thank you for being mine & all the joy and warmth and love you bring to our lives. I love you so.
