Amy's 24th Birthday

My birthday purse, skirt, and shoes I picked out. 

Truman got me some really cute presents and even wrapped them! The presents Truman got me this year were truly some of the most thoughtful presents he had ever given me, I loved them! Earings,  gladiator style sandals, and hot pink Nike exercise top to name a few. It was so cute how much time he put into it. 

My Birthday was a on a weekday so I had to go to work, but Truman was so sweet because he woke up very early to make me eggs, toast, and freshly juiced orange juice. He was singing Happy Birthday to me as I came out the bedroom door and these gorgeous pink gerbera daisies were in a vase on the table waiting for me. It made the morning so sweet! Then, at work my friend Sandra brought me flowers and they brought me a cake which was lit with trick candles. haha.  

I decided I wanted to go to Amber's, an indian cuisine restaurant on Santana Row, for my B-day dinner. They don't sing to you on your B-day like Red Robin does, haha, but they have such good food! I wore the earrings Truman bought me. 

For my birthday dessert, I told Truman I wanted a Dairy Queen Blizzard! I haven't had one in a couple years and I saw it advertised on TV and I was so sold, haha. I got a peanut butter cup one, and just because it was my birthday -- I got extra butter finger topping. It was worth every calorie...

Yosemite

 Joe & Tracy used to live just 10 minutes away from us, but with Joe getting a job offer with the FBI in Fresno, they're now 2.5 hours away. We drove out there a couple weekends ago to visit them and little Milo and Penny. We have missed them all! Joe and Tracy got Truman this shark tooth necklace for his birthday, Truman felt pretty cool wearing it. We spent the night and then the next morning we headed off to Yosemite with them. After the long...long drive we finally made it! (NOTE TO SELF: don't go to Yosemite the weekend before school starts because everyone else has the same idea). 

 We went to the Mariposa Grove first with some of the largest sequoias in the world. Miss Penny hitched  a ride on Uncle Truman's shoulders. The kids enjoyed running around and we ate lunches that we had packed that morning. 

 Milo didn't know what to do with himself with so much unexplored territory. He mostly enjoyed running away from me as I tried to get pictures of him. 

 

 Penny decided she wanted to be like her big brother Milo and do some exploring for herself.

Hide n' Seek

 Then it was back to the car to drive another 34 miles to the falls...

 Then it was about a 20 minute walk to get up close to the falls...

No we did not make Penny push Milo in the stroller. Not only did we not make her, she was extremely upset if we did not let her push it. Joe and Tracy kept saying that Penny was born in the wrong time period and she should have been a pioneer pushing a hand kart. She walked the whole way there!

 Milo enjoyed the streams & wanted to get his feet in and throw sticks into it.
